Sponsorship Sales Manager - European based TECH Conferences & Events

Central London Office - Hybrid Working (3 days in office) - Travel

Base salary up to £45K + Uncapped Generous Commission + Company Benefits

Permanent, full-time position

We’re hiring an experienced Sponsorship Sales professional to join an established TECH media and events organisation. You will take the lead on selling high value sponsorship packages to corporate companies for their European based conferences and exhibitions.

This role will be a mix of new and warm business. We’re looking for an experienced and skilled sponsorship salesperson who can engage and make connections with clients, understand the market's needs, provide the best solutions to customers and build long term client relationships. This is a solutions led, consultative sales environment.

The events are held over 2 days and attract around 2000 attendees who have access to the conference with over 150 speakers, more than 150 exhibitors, 121 networking meetings, networking socials and lots more. The events provide opportunities for business professionals to learn, develop new business, and network with industry leaders and experts. These are impressive and quality B2B events.

What will you be doing?

  • Selling high value sponsorship and marketing solutions to new and existing blue chip clients
  • Communicating and negotiating confidently and successfully with senior decision makers over the phone and face to face.
  • Working with the wider events team to launch exciting new projects and formats
  • Research new prospects, follow-up on leads and data shared by the marketing and content team and utilise the database (Salesforce) to identify lapsed clients.
  • Manage your sales pipeline and keep the database updated.
  • Meet the agreed targets for each event.
  • Attending your events, competitor events and client meetings

Who are you?

  • Experienced working in b2b conference sponsorship sales within a commercial events environment - this direct experience is essential.
  • An excellent communicator who is confident talking and presenting to peers and senior decision makers over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to make connections and engage with clients.
  • Persuade and influence decision makers
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Able to manage the responsibility of meeting targets and deadlines and managing your time effectively
  • Attention to detail and organised
  • Positive, enthusiastic and ambitious sales professional
  • Confident using IT including such as Teams, Microsoft and CRM
