Band 6 Speech and Language Therapists, required to work within a multi-disciplinary team at a well-respected special needs school in Uxbridge.

This successful secondary special school are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with experience of working with children and adolescents with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will be working within an established Therapy Team, within an SEND secondary school.

You will be working with students aged 11-19 years who have a wide variety of conditions including Autism, global developmental delay, respiratory and neurological.

The candidate will need to be able to work well as part of the Therapy Team and wider school team. This post provides many exciting opportunities including assessment, group work, one to one therapy and class-based interventions, working in collaboration with teaching staff, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and rehabilitation assistants.

The Therapy Team is responsible for integrating clinical intervention across all aspects of the educational curriculum ensuring that pupils can readily access and engage in learning. All therapy staff are supported by the Therapy Team lead and by senior clinicians across the therapy disciplines.

Candidates should be registered with the HCPC and Royal College of SaLT, and should hold a relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
