Field based covering London, Oxford, Essex up to Norfolk and down to Sussex

The Job:
Our client is looking to appoint a field-based Area Sales Manager to join their team, this is a great role where you can significantly contribute to the growth of our business. You will be responsible for the generation of sustainable and consistent specification sales through the development and maintenance of positive relationships within the interior design community. Working with designers, project managers, end clients and manufacturing partners, our client strives to provide a positive customer experience at every project stage, during the design, specification, manufacture, and supply of high end solutions to the contract market. Physical and digital networking; compiling, presenting and submitting proposals; project ownership from tender to aftercare are all key demonstrable skills required.

  • Primary representative of the company to key contacts withing the interior design community - proactively seeking new opportunities and developing existing contacts
  • Responsibility for development and execution of strategic sales plan within your geographical area
  • Research, qualification, and capture of target opportunities via our company CRM
  • Maintaining positive customer relationships through face-to-face meetings and regular contact
  • Preparation and presentation of proposals, tailored according to project requirements
  • Consistent, sustainable revenue generation at or above minimum agreed gross margin level, with monthly reporting & forecasting
  • Collaboration with internal support staff to ensure effective account management & customer service, as well as satisfactory project fulfilment
  • Continuous development of own knowledge of current & future trends through close customer contact and collaboration with colleagues

The Person:
If you have a solutions focused, consultative approach to sales, a determination to succeed, and can demonstrate a track record of excelling within a B2B specification environment selling to the interior design community, then we’d love to hear from you!
Proven track record in specification sales within the Interior Design Community with notable experience selling to a diverse portfolio of clients, ideally with a high end product
A self-motivated, focused individual, with drive to succeed and excel
CRM experience & knowledge, including reporting & forecasting
Excellent Account Management skills including strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to understand & comprehend the customers’ requirements, and identify unique selling points, using a consultative sales approach
Ideally based within the territory
Desire to continuously expand own knowledge & experience
Adept level of computer literacy (Excel/Teams/Outlook)
