Just Recruitment is working with a growing organisation based in Ipswich - actively seeking a Specification Technician to join its friendly and vibrant team.

This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to provide support to Clients and Area Technical Sales Managers within a specialised environment.

The role involves analysis of specifications against client and technical requirements such as material compatibility & suitability, analysis of survey reports, checking for inconsistencies in proposal, production of calculations relative to waterproofing design, and production of technical drawings and PV design.

The ideal candidate will be technically minded and originate from a Construction Industry/Architectural background. Computer literacy and the ability to understand specifications, maintaining an analytical approach with a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate well at all levels are essential.

Outline of Responsibilities/duties:

Checking of all incoming specification types produced for all waterproofing systems, against suitability and compatibility
Checking of survey reports
Understanding of Industry Codes of Practice/Building Regulations
Dealing with telephone enquiries
Checking and understanding specification construction, survey reports and construction drawings

Technically minded, logical and precise, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Analytical Approach
Able to read and understand architectural drawings
Approachable and diplomatic
