Over the last decade Thomann-Hanry has grown significantly and continues to expand its portfolio of works requiring a dedicated team and resource in many specialist areas to enable the company to deliver the best possible service to all clients on works being undertaken.

This role supports and delivers stone cleaning and façade gommage projects through the operation of Thomann-Hanry’s patented machinery. Operation of the machinery ensures Thomann-Hanry can deliver the cleaning of façades for its clients without the need for scaffolding, disruption or disproportionate mess.

The role purpose is to undertake the cleaning of the façades of buildings as Thomann-Hanry delivers on a wide variety of projects involving construction and maintenance taking place on historic buildings in and around the Greater London area.

The role reports into the Construction PM/Managing Director and is integral to delivering specialist stone and façade cleaning whilst reporting, tracking and feeding back on project progress in real time. The post holder should be prepared to ensure all required equipment is prepared in advance and functions on site. Clearance and preparation for the next project should also be undertaken and considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing external steam cleaning using high pressure systems such as Doff and Torc
  • Undertaking façade gommage and stone cleaning projects
  • Collaborating directly with the Managing Director/Construction Project Manager and all necessary stakeholders in relation to all project works
  • Driving work vehicles and operating truck mounts booms and MEWPS
  • Selecting, preparing, co-ordinating and returning tools and materials needed for projects
  • Reviewing project details
  • Reviewing and completing on site risk assessments and method statements
  • Disseminating health and safety information and documents ensuring all is completed compliant
  • Cultivating strong working relations to resolve project conflicts and making decisions where necessary
  • Meeting clients and fostering relationships

Essential skills and experience

  • MUST HAVE solid knowledge or a minimum of 5 years of experience using systems such as Doff and Torc, along with poultices and other chemicals.
  • MUST BE experienced and capable of cleaning all types of natural stone.
  • MUST BE ABLE to work a flexible schedule including nights, early mornings and weekends
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with ability to work proactively with people at all levels.
  • Excellent team player with an outgoing and friendly manner.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a methodical and organised manner.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A valid driving licence is desirable.
