Special Needs Teaching Assistants / Teaching Assistant - Portsmouth

Academics are looking for an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistants to commit to a full-time, term-time contract in a Post 16 SEN provision in Portsmouth.

The specialist provision caters for young people with complex autism. Here they are encouraged and supported to develop their independence and life skills. They often go out and about in the community and enjoy cooking their own meals.

You will joining a team of dedicated, empathetic and experienced teachers and Special Needs Teaching Assistants who are passionate about the care they provide and the difference they make to their lives. Due to the specific needs of the young people, experience of supporting pupils with SEN is essential, ideally with secondary/FE aged young people.

Working hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm. For the right person, this could lead to a permanent position.
