Role Overview:
- As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide targeted support for students with special needs.
- Your responsibilities will include assisting in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs), monitoring student progress, and ensuring equal access to learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teaching staff to identify students with special needs and develop appropriate strategies.
- Assist in conducting assessments and creating personalized learning plans for students.
- Monitor student progress, adjust interventions, and provide ongoing support.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
- Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for making a positive impact on students’ lives.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
