Special Needs Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Providing top-notch teaching to students with special needs within a nurturing school environment in Newham.
• Tailoring and implementing individualised education plans to address the unique needs of each student.
• Working closely with fellow educators, parents, and specialists to ensure comprehensive support for student development.
• Offering guidance and support to colleagues on effective strategies for teaching students with special needs.
• Collaborating with external agencies and professionals to access additional support for students when required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Special Needs Teacher, ideally within a special needs school or similar setting.
• In-depth understanding of various special needs conditions and effective teaching methodologies.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners.
