Special Needs Teacher required to teach a small class of 8 children in a mainstream setting. This lovely school is looking for a specialist Special Needs Teacher to teach within its learning hub, teaching a small class of children with a range of moderate learning needs.

As a Special Needs Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that are tailored to the needs of children and deploying your teaching assistants effectively. This school has recently been praised for its excellent SEND provision, leadership are committed to providing an outstanding education for all children. This role requires a qualified teacher (QTS) who has previous experience teaching children with special educational needs, either in a SEND school or in a SEND hub.  
Job Role:
  • Teaching a small class of primary aged pupil with additional needs.
  • Planning and delivering lessons to meet the need of individual children.
  • Liaising with the SENCO and TA’s to ensure children are supported appropriately.
  • Making school a nurturing, welcoming and safe place for students.
  • Helping young people to break down academic and social barriers.
