SEN Teacher with Lead Responsibility
  • Annual Salary: Up to £51,200
  • Location: Middlesex
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am-4pm

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher with lead responsibility to join our supportive team in a SEN school located in Middlesex. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a candidate with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who is looking to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver tailored lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure the effective delivery of education.
  • Assess and record students’ progress, preparing reports and attending review meetings as required.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating high standards of professionalism and conduct.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience as an SEN Teacher or in a similar role within a special educational needs setting.
  • Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and experience with IEPs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
  • Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to teaching.
