At Career Teachers we are currently recruiting for teaching assistants for a long term role in a specialist setting in Leeds. The school supports students who are on the autistic spectrum, therefore the ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of Autism and experience supporting autistic learners previously.

We are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and adaptable. Your main role will be supporting students through the school day, ensuring they have all the tools they need to access the learning at hand. You will work under the guidance of the class teacher, engaging students in the lessons and providing 1:1 support.

Role specifics:

  • This is a full-time role, due to begin as soon as possible. Working in a school for students with special educational needs.
  • The working hours are 8.30-15.30. Term time only.
  • You will be working as a classroom teaching assistant, supporting students with special educational needs.
  • The school is located in a very central location in Leeds and has good public transportation links as well as on site parking.

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
