Sous chef

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join the kitchen in a successful and established customer facing restaurant near Peterborough serving all fresh food daily day time only menus.

You need your own transport to get here.

The successful candidate will have the ability to step up to head chef and manage every aspect of the kitchen operation - leading the team, driving sales, developing the menu, and working closely with the FOH team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sous chef with high volume experience who will relish the opportunity to work for a very successful company.

Role - Sous Chef

As Sous Chef you will:

• Prepare and cook seasonal fresh menus
• Take full ownership of the kitchen operation
• Motivate, train and develop the team
• Work in a hands-on capacity leading from the front
• Help to control labour and manage wastage, the GP, and all costs & budgets
• Order and control stock
• Maintain high standards of service & compliance with company systems & procedures
• Work closely with the front of house team

Attributes - Sous Chef

We are looking for:

• Experience gained in high volume customer facing restaurants/hotels/catering operations
• Passion for cooking using fresh produce - happy to cook core to spec menus
• A positive, enthusiastic and outgoing personality and attitude
• Strong people management skills and the ability to train, motivate and develop your team
• An intrinsic understanding of legislation and compliance
