Salary - £30-35k

Working hours - Tuesday - Sunday 45hrs a week (Working 5 days a week, potentially 6 at times).

Our client in Northampton recently reopened in September 2023 under new management after building an extension and carrying out major refurbishment to modernise the beautiful hotel and spa whilst still honouring its history, traditional aesthetic, and charm. The new team are passionate about their customers experience with them and look forward to a bright new future.

They are looking for 2 experienced and passionate Sous Chefs who are team players who have the ability to build internal relationships with team members. They’re producing high quality, seasonal, fresh traditional British and Lebanese dishes, but are open to new menu ideas.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute menu items
- Ensure food production meets high standards of taste, presentation, and quality
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and procedures
- Assist in creating schedules and managing labor costs

Experience:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary trends
- Proven experience in team management and supervision
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in menu planning and recipe development is a plus
