My client are looking for a sourcing assistant to join their procurement team. The Sourcing Assistant will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks and responsibilites with their main purpose being to administrate, co-ordinate and facilitate the purchasing function.

Location - Chichester

Main Responsibilities will include:

Administration of all aspects of the claim process including reviewing and placing notice on claims, maintaining the claims trackers and recovery of claims.

Manage Purchase Orders including raising and amendment of PO's and oversee loading advices.

Process daily updates and weekly uploads of arrivals, work with the teams to review stock reports

Maintain the sourcing aspect of the supplier approval process by co ordinating with other functions and driving activity within the sourcing team.

Maintain the action log for tender tasks and the tender price database, assist with the tender task list and provide additional support to the sourcing team to meet deadlines.

Monitor stock levels at the supplier and manage sample requests from suppliers.

Support and liaise with the finance team and suppliers to reconcile parked invoice issues.

The ideal candidate for the role will have -

Experience in a similar role with knowledge of procurement processes, policies and procedures.

Proficient knowledge of excel and microsoft.

Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail.

Ability to work under presure with good time management and organisational skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
