Key Skills and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Solution Architect to join us on a full-time basis. You will be reporting to the Head of Development, the Solution Architects are the driving force behind the technical practice by designing resilient and scalable enterprise-level application architectures and assessing overall project feasibility. They hold responsibility for the day-to-day fulfilment of the people’s development, regulatory functions and IT Controls, and provide direction for the effective architecture of consumer-level applications and solutions to our agile development teams.

  • Creating and maintaining software documentation.
  • Reviewing and approving code changes within the development teams.
  • Defining and enforcing the standard of the code within the team (code review, audit, structure, linting, testing quality).
  • Working with development teams and stakeholders to enable the strategic delivery of projects.
  • Engaging with other teams or parts of the business to share knowledge, refine tasks, and eliminate unknowns.
  • Reviewing project technical delivery roadmaps and providing high level estimates where necessary.
  • Ensuring development stability and identifying weaknesses within production ready solutions.
  • Managing the teams in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, so that the team’s business objectives are achieved consistently.
  • Being aware of emerging new technologies that support the growth of the business, and assisting with the early adoption of these.
  • Driving the full adoption of Agile methodology.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience interpreting client/organisational strategic requirements and translating those into viable solutions.
  • Strong understanding and experience in multiple programming languages including Java Script.
  • Experience mentoring team members and providing guidance, feedback and support where needed.
  • Experience architecting solutions and modelling best practices.
  • Defining and enforcing industry security and best practice behaviours and processes within the Agile development teams.
  • Understanding of DevOps processes and infrastructure.
  • Experience working with relational database systems.
  • Experience working with code management solutions.
  • Experience driving Agile operational strategy forward.
  • Experience fulfilling allocated IT Control or regulatory responsibilities would be helpful.
