This well-established software solutions provider is looking to add a Software Engineering Team Lead to join their talented development team based in Lancashire. This diverse role will involve working in an agile environment on high performing, scalable, enterprise grade applications. The successful Software Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for Java development and leading a team while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle in both local and hosted environments.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineering Team Lead:
  • Mentoring and leading members fo the team
  • Acting as the point of escalation of the team and appraising the performance of the team
  • Contribute to the planning process by giving estimates of time/effort during projects
  • Interacting with the wider business to keep them up to date with the teams efforts

The core skills for this Software Engineering Team Lead role include:
  • Experience using Java, Spring, Maven. JUnit, Hibernate, HTML/ CSS/ JQuery
  • 5+ years working in a commercial software engineering environment
  • 2+ years leading a team of software engineers or as a lead software engineer
  • Proven experience coaching, leading and mentoring software development teams
  • Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills

Ideally you will have a minimum 2:1 Degree in Computer/IT related discipline and 5 + years Java development experience and will be joining a team of Java/ JEE developers in a vibrant and rewarding environment where your technical input will be integral to the technological advancement of the team.
