Software Engineer

Salary: up to £45,000 (flexible for the right candidate)

Location: Rochester

My client is experiencing a continued expansion across their business, and so has a position for a Software Engineer to join the team. You will be working on specialist software and control systems used in various industries.


You will be part of a small team of multidisciplinary engineers focused on enhancing and transitioning their systems and control applications to a modern platform. Responsibilities include developing Windows applications, offering C++/Qt support for off-grid, CAN-based module product ranges, and optionally contributing to the development of embedded software for a new interface module.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering / Engineering
  • Experience with C++/STL
  • Experienced in developing Windows platforms
  • Knowledge of MFC
  • Familiarity with Git Version Control

Desirables:

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, React
  • Python
  • Qt app development
  • Hardware interfaces
