Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

This is achieved by assisting clients in many services such as, Change Management, Test Automation, Testing strategy Development, Test Service Implementation, and Test Process Improvement.

Our client is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to boost their QA department. In this role, you will be a part of the testing excellence team that build test and execution required to successfully test a diverse set at all stages of development, from concept through post-launch. This would require the ability to develop 'long-term vision’ testing skills while simultaneously being able to pivot to meet the immediate requirements of customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organise and prioritise work requests from numerous teams in an appropriate manner.
• Provide guidance and understanding on the creation, maintenance, and improvement of QA/Dev tools.
• Identify thresholds & bottlenecks in existing code with the assistance of automation tools.
• Develop and maintain documentation for team projects.
• Collect/expose data about Test to help QA prioritise test suites.
• To have hands on exposure to designing primarily for E2E tests and Integration testing.
• Congregate test data requirements and design the test scripts across environments.
• Understand defects identified and run them through to conclusion, keeping all relevant stakeholders informed.
• Script and Develop test cases within a framework.
• Collaborating with Paring with Dev on the Pipelines.

Requirements:

• Ability to effectively communicate with Manager, Team Leader, fellow team members and required stakeholders.
• Experienced in CI Tools such as Microsoft Azure and Jenkins.
• Hands on Experience with tools such as Cypress, Selenium and Playwright.
• Hold a good level of knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies including web, client-server, web services, and databases.
• Well versed in working scripting languages with Typescript, JavaScript, Java.
• Good understanding of numerous testing methodologies and categories.
• Knowledgeable with Test Management tools, for example HP QC, Jira,Zephyr ,Xray and Bugzilla.
• Good Experience in version control tools such as GIT, GitHub, or Azure Devops.
• High level of data structure, analytical and algorithm problem-solving skills would be a welcome addition.
• Experience of working within Agile + DevOps process management environments.
• Working in Agile - Scrum methodology will be an added advantage.

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000
