Hays Recruitment are currently working with a local public sector organisation to recruit for a SQL Developer on a permanent basis.
What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant degree or equivalent industry recognised qualification
  • At least 3 years of professional experience across a variety of software applications
  • At least 2 years previous technical experience in a client server environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • A full UK driving licence


Key Responsibilities

  • To co-ordinate the day to day running of the team to ensure work is apportioned and delivered on time
  • To act as a support element for the other members of the development team
  • To develop new systems in accordance with the specification to create high level products
  • To assist other staff to deal with software problems and prepare software revisions when system changes or improvements are required
  • To keep up to date with new technologies by attending relevant training courses and putting new knowledge and skills into practice in the workplace
