Working hours: Mon-Fri 09:00am - 17:00pm 35 hours per week.

Role overview:

  • Develop EMCOR's bespoke Data Management and Business Intelligence toolset
  • Designs and creates solutions for EMCOR systems
  • Works alongside the Data Analysts to provide insights on EMCOR and client data

What you’ll do:

  • Develop EMCOR's bespoke Data Management and Business Intelligence toolset, on an approved and requested basis
  • Provides technical analysis on requirements, including technical specification and associated testing documentation to IT team members, and gains approval for requirements through the IT Business Partner with the client services team
  • Adheres to, contributes to, and advocates the adoption of, EMCOR's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) guidelines
  • Provides project resources to support commissioning, decommissioning, and troubleshooting accounts, servers, and hosting platforms.
  • Provides software testing services as required, on an approved and requested basis.
  • Works to best practice security standards as part of the IT Security standards delivered under ISO 27001.
  • Works with the Change and Release function to safely deliver data into live production environments
  • Provide onsite support to EMCOR Client Service teams for problem-solving.

Who you’ll be:

  • The role requires at least a year's experience in software development in an object-oriented language such as Java script, or functional programming languages such as C#.
  • As well as working knowledge of other development languages and tools including SQL.
  • The role would benefit from a working knowledge of Prince 2 project management standards for successful delivery of projects, and ITIL v2 Change and Release management.
  • The ability to use project management tools such as Microsoft Project or SmartSheet online project management tools.
  • A patient and "customer first" manner is essential for this role, as being prepared to go the extra mile to complete the task on time, and to a high standard.
  • A proactive and "can do" approach is key to the successful outcome for the department and this role.
  • Prioritisation and planning are key features of this role, and the role requires that the individual should be able to manage their time, to provide successful outcomes per the department KPI's.
  • The successful employee in this role, will be recognised for the above skills and traits.
