5 days a week onsite

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Software Defined Network Engineer to join our client's growing team in Stoke on Trent. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing VMware NSX-T infrastructure to ensure network reliability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing/implementing/managing VMware NSX-T solutions, including virtualised network infrastructure/micro-segmentation.
  • Deploying/configuring/maintaining NSX-T components according to best practices.
  • Integrating NSX-T with existing network infrastructure and automating tasks using scripting tools.
  • Troubleshooting network issues/optimising performance.
  • Implementing security controls/compliance requirements.
  • Providing documentation/training on NSX-T technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience with VMware NSX-T in enterprise environments.
  • Strong networking skills and understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • UK Security Check (SC) clearance required (or be eligble for clearance)
