Milk Education areworking in partnership with a Secondary School based in Newham who are seeking to appoint a Sociology & Psychology Teacher to join them on a full time basis starting ASAP.

Are you a Psychology / Sociology Teacher looking for a full-time opportunity in East London?

If so, an Outstanding school in Newham is seeking a Teacher of Psychology with the requirement to also teach Sociology.  The school itself is a high achieving multi-cultural 11-16 Secondary School with 12 forms of entry.

The school are culturally rich with an ethos based around praise, support and caring.  Most students begin below national standards, but achieve in line with, or exceed, national standards when they leave in Year 11.

Psychology / Sociology Teacher - The Role

  • Teacher of Psychology and Sociology
  • Permanent - Full time - Monday - Friday
  • ASAP 2024 Start
  • MPS1 - UPS3 + TLR (Depending on experience)
  • TLR available for subject lead / pastoral TLRs also available
  • Working in KS4 

Psychology / Sociology Teacher - The Candidate

  • Must hold QTS or be in the process of obtaining QTS
  • Hold a 1st class or 2:1 degree in a psychology/sociology related subject
  • Ability to plan lessons to meet the national standards for teaching
  • Confident, personable, fun loving
  • Patient and strong communicator
  • ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged!
