As a Social Worker, you are the reason why lives change for the better. You help some of the most vulnerable people gain a brighter future. You will be working 18.75 hour a week as a Part-time Social Worker.

There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, as you work as part of a multidisciplinary team at Crossley Place where you will provide care for adult women with complex mental health needs.

You will have previous experience from the NHS or private care as you manage a complex caseload. You will be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and will contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future.

As a Social Worker, you report to the Safeguarding Lead, and will manage internal investigations and liaise with home authorities for service users during their admission and discharging process.

  • Referrals to LADO and Local Authority in line with safeguarding and assessments 
  • Educating Hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters.
  • Completing a full annual social care reassessment within the CPA format.
  • Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services and associated support services
  • Participating in 1:1 supervision

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Social Work England
  • Social Work degree 
  • Experience within similar environment
  • Experience with working with children /CAMHs 

Where you will be working:

Crossley Place, Crossley Manor, Mill Lane, Rainhill, Prescot, L35 6NE

You will be working at Crossley Place, a modernised low secure service that supports women over the age of 18 with complex emotional and mental health conditions which are associated with significant risk behaviours. 

Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will join a small team that is committed to empowering recovery and encouraging independence within a residential environment, consisting of two apartments.

Crossley Place delivers 24-hour care and is within easy reach of the M62 and national rail networks.
