About the Role:

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Children and Families Social Worker to join our team in Central Scotland. As a Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and supporting children and families in need, providing guidance, advocacy, and practical assistance to promote positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide direct support and intervention to children and families, including crisis intervention and safeguarding measures
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to coordinate support services and resources
  • Monitor and review the progress of children and families, adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Advocate for the rights and best interests of children and families within legal and ethical frameworks
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports in accordance with statutory requirements and organizational policies

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a social care setting
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children and families social work in Scotland
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases sensitively and professionally
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice
  • Valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle (desirable)
