Join our dedicated team at Slough Children First (SCF) as a Reviewing Service Manager! This is a key role within our Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Service, offering variety, challenge, and the opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives.

As a Reviewing Service Manager, you will lead a team of Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs) and Child Protection Chairs, providing an independent and high-quality service for children subject to child protection plans and children and young people looked after (CLA). Your expertise will contribute to evaluating and assuring the quality of SCF's child protection and looked after children services, highlighting both successes and areas for improvement to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of IROs and CP Chairs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support to children and families.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of SCF's services, striving for excellence in child protection and looked after children services.
  • Collaborate with the Slough Safeguarding Partnership to enhance the quality of multi-agency input to child protection conferences and CLA review processes.
  • Provide independent oversight of case management, ensuring the welfare and best interests of children are prioritized.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team, fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment.
