Role Overview: As a Social Media Manager, you will play a crucial role in our Marketing team, working closely with the Marketing Director and Managers to steer the social media marketing efforts for our consumer-facing destinations. This role involves leading the development and execution of social media strategies to support our commercial objectives, enhance customer engagement, and strengthen our reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media plans and content across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest).
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of social media marketing activities, including campaigns and always-on initiatives, to drive footfall and elevate visitor experience.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Managers to manage digital agencies, paid media, and report on KPIs, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Consolidate social media landscape for The Crown Estate and introduce management tools for cross-platform reporting.
  • Assist in annual social media strategy planning and budgeting.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of marketing activities and demonstrate ROI.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of social media marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Align digital and social media presence with corporate strategy and support commercialization efforts.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in brand, retail, events marketing, tourism, or luxury goods sectors, with strong storytelling skills.
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Knowledge of retail or destination marketing is essential.
  • Experience in managing stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Proficiency in photography, videography, image and video editing.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends and techniques.
  • Experience managing agencies and large budgets effectively.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work within a matrixed organization.
