SMT Technician

Their products are designed and manufactured to the highest standards and are rigorously tested before they are sent to clients. They provide customers with the highest service levels, ensuring that all their needs are met quickly, efficiently, and professionally.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a person who is experienced in running SMT Pick and Place machines and is committed to producing quality products.

Salary : £30,000-£35,000 (Dependant on experience)

Location: Sheffield

Responsibilities include but not limited to,

• Develop, test, and maintain SMT pick and place equipment.
• SMT Manufacturing and establishing a lean manufacturing SMT line.
• Make soldering profiles for hot air rework and SMT reflow equipment.
• Program SPI (solder paste inspection) Machines / Stencil Printer Machine.
• Make new programs for SMT screen printers.
• Keep up a solid working understanding of workmanship standards.
• Discuss soldering quality with engineering, and adjusting controls as directed.
• Coordinating with a great team spirit.
• Other duties as required in the SMT department.

Requirements

• Understanding of SMT processes, equipment, and tools.
• Knowledge of electronic components, circuit boards, and soldering techniques.
• Familiarity with reading technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Previous experience in electronics assembly or related field is beneficial.
• Training or certification in SMT equipment operation and maintenance can be advantageous.
