Job title: SME Commercial Broker

Salary: to £40,000

Location: Glasgow (Hybrid) 

Purpose of the role:

Newly created role for this broking organisation who are opening in Glasgow city centre. Providing support to management and account executives in their day to day duties when handling SME commercial insurance risks. Assisting in the growth and success of the Scottish region. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the set and launch of this UK wide broking company's brand new office in Glasgow.
  • Handle new and existing commercial insurance risks.
  • Provide quotations, handle renewals, MTA's, insurer placement, invoicing, etc.
  • Work closely with account executives, attending client visits where required.
  • Keep Acturis records up to date.
  • Attend network events.
  • Grow and develop insurer relationships.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within commercial insurance broking.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products including property, motor, EL, PL, commercial combined, business interruption, etc.
  • Understand general and legal principles of insurance and relevant regulatory and legal frameworks.
  • Existing insurer relationships would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Computer literate.
  • Acturis experience essential.
  • CII qualifications would be advantageous.
