SLD Tutor - Student with ASD/ADHD
Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for CYP in need of alternative provision. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SLD/MLD /HLTA's/tutors/teachers.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SLD Tutor to provide face to face provision to a Primary aged SEND student who need access to Alternative provision. The role is to start ASAP.
- Location -Hatfield
- Position - SLD Tutor, Diagnoses of ASD and ADHD
- 2:1 tuition from a local community venue
- Start date - ASAP
- End date (if applicable) - ongoing
- Contract type - Temporary
- Part time - 10 hours per week
- Rate of pay £30-£35 per hour
- Hours- Monday - Friday (2 Hours every morning)
We are looking for candidates who are:-
- Available during school hours up to 10 hours per week.
- Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
- Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD/SLD
- Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
- Prepared to work face to face within the community.
Requirements
- Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEND classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
- QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
- Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
- 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
