We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Supervisor with High Voltage (HV) Authorisation to join our clients team on site. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of their data centre facilities through exceptional leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data centre, ensuring all activities are executed in compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • High Voltage Systems Management: Utilize your HV Authorisation to supervise the maintenance, testing, and safe operation of high voltage electrical systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of facilities management professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Incident Management: Serve as the first point of contact for any electrical incidents or emergencies, leading the response team to quickly and safely resolve issues.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Plan and supervise preventative and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and extending the lifespan of facility assets.
  • Compliance and Safety: Enforce strict adherence to electrical safety procedures and compliance with national standards and regulations. Conduct regular safety drills and training for all personnel.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors and service providers, overseeing work performance and ensuring services meet contractual agreements and quality expectations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operational activities, incident reports, maintenance logs, and safety audits. Prepare regular reports for management review.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities management within a data centre or similar critical environment.
  • Must hold a current High Voltage (HV) Authorisation certificate.
  • Solid understanding of high voltage electrical systems and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices, standards, and regulations.
  • Relevant technical qualifications in electrical engineering or facilities management are preferred.
