Site Reliability Engineer (x2)

We have an exciting opportunity to join a leading FinTech business as a Site Reliability Engineer. There are currently two available roles. The two Site Reliability Engineers will work closely and collaboratively with a variety of teams to ensure the foundations of the platform, ensuring that it is scalable and robust. The right candidates will have strong experience with AWS and MongoDB, deploying infrastructure as code (ideally Terraform) and proficient with a variety of CI/CD tools.

Experience

Proficient with AWS - Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and scaling AWS solutions with networking architectures from scratch.

Skilled in managing and optimising databases at scale. (MongoDB)

Build robust observability platforms, mitigates alert fatigue, and understands SLO/SLA concepts.

Proficient with Terraform with ability to Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.

Proven experience responding to and resolving incidents, focusing on prevention.

Experienced with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, and others, for streamlined development and deployment.

Ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering clear communication.

Responsibilities

Utilise your expertise in AWS and MongoDB to design highly scalable and robust architecture

Deploy infrastructure as code

Ensure the availability and recoverability of our platform

Empower squads to own end-to-end with by driving best practice in key areas such as deployment practices, infrastructure, and observability
