Location: Leeds

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance (£5k) + Career Progression + packages.

I am presently seeking a new Site Manager to join a leading construction team and contribute to the successful delivery of both ongoing and forthcoming projects throughout the Northwest region.

The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Site Manager?

  • Overarching responsibility for the project encompassing budget management, quality assurance, health and safety compliance, and timely project completion within specified parameters.
  • Direct oversight of daily site operations, including leading the site team, coordinating subcontractors, managing labour, materials, and resources.
  • Supervision of the site induction process and enforcement of site rules and procedures to ensure adherence.
  • Development and implementation of site logistics plans and health and safety documentation, including updating the Construction Phase Plan, reviewing Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Maintenance of Site Environmental Plan and Construction Management Plan, ensuring on-site compliance with all requirements.
  • Short-term planning and associated reporting activities.
  • Engagement with stakeholders, including the client, design team, local community, and school, to ensure project alignment with expectations.
  • Management of project preliminaries within established budget parameters.
  • Authorization of payments to trades and contractors as necessary.
  • Conducting quality control procedures and inspections, promptly addressing any defects to avoid additional costs, delays, or compromise in final quality.
  • Achievement of client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including meeting social value requirements.
  • Acting as a positive representative of the company, exhibiting exemplary behaviour in health and safety practices, organizational conduct, work quality, and professionalism.

What are we looking for in our next Site Manager?

  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading projects from inception through to handover and final completion.
  • Skilled in operating within constrained and active environments such as schools, hospitals, leisure facilities, and industrial sites.
  • Familiarity with managing projects under tight logistical constraints.
  • Comprehensive experience across all construction facets, including groundworks, building envelope, and internal finishes.
  • Possesses a solid technical acumen for interpreting architectural drawings.
  • Commercially astute with robust problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record of adhering to established construction schedules while effectively managing priorities.
  • Thorough understanding of construction practices and pertinent legal requirements, encompassing Health and Safety standards, NHBC regulations, and Building Codes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional management and communication proficiencies.
