Site Manager - Office to Flats Conversion

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum £250 - £300 a day

Location: Wakefield

Role: 12-month Contract or Permanent

The project is a 12 month Extension from offices to flats. We are welcoming a Site Manager for the duration of this project or someone permanently

We are currently seeking a skilled Site Manager to oversee construction sites and ensure the successful execution of our projects.

Position Overview:
As a Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of commercial construction projects, including industrial facilities, retail spaces, and office buildings. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise construction sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and quality workmanship.
  • Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations on site, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and project managers.
  • Prepare and maintain site documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and safety records.
  • Resolve site issues and conflicts in a timely and efficient manner, escalating as necessary to ensure project continuity.
  • Ensure that all site activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager or similar role in commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, particularly in industrial, retail, and office construction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field are desirable but not essential.
