A vacancy has arisen for a Production Assistant to perform daily sanitation duties, general housekeeping, and site maintenance duties at our depot at Hope S33 6RP.
The successful candidate will form part of team to support the engineering organisation.
Reporting to and working with the Depot Supervisor, the Production Assistant must be able to demonstrate a commitment to safety and an understanding of safe working practices, compliance to company standards and safe working procedures are followed. The applicant will be a motivated self-starter and a fully versatile team member.
Progression opportunities to become a wagon fitter exist for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:
* Adhere to health & safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety standards
* Assist the Depot Supervisor in all facility improvements.
* Provide stores assistant duties to the Depot Team Leader.
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment
* General site maintenance and cleaning duties
* Forklift truck duties
* Road Delivery & Collections to suppliers
Requirements
* Commitment to safe working practices
* A general maintenance background
* Experience with basic hand tools
* Knowledge of COSHH including all cleaning products will be beneficial
* Vehicle Driving Licence
Working hours 0600-1430 Monday to Thursday, 0600-1300 Friday. (39 hours per week).
30 minute lunch break is unpaid, with a 15 minute morning break paid.
