Site Engineer

Site Engineer - Plumbing and Heating
2 Hour Radius of North Cambridge.
£40k - £55k p/a plus company vehicle
Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours plus overtime. (Pricework)

Are you experienced in price work as a Site Engineer, specifically in plumbing and heating? 

Do you have an NVQ Level 3 and at least 5 years experience in domestic plumbing/heating? 

Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting an experienced Site Engineer (Plumbing and Heating)to join the team.

The main purpose of this role is to work on a price work basis on predominantly New Build Housing projects and their aftercare. 

Key responsibilities:

• Site Work installations – 1st Fix, Soil & Waste, 2nd Fix, Sanitary Ware, Testing & Commissioning.
• Attend emergency call outs as requested.
• Join the Out of Hours Call Out Rota - For in warranty properties only.
• Assist with the commissioning of domestic boilers.
• Carry out Gas Safety Checks and complete Landlord/Home Owner Gas Safety Certificates.
• Assist with Snagging as requested by the Contracts Managers.
• Provide feedback to Contracts Managers regarding potential customer care issues.

• Annual Leave Increases on Years of Employment - This will be calculated as an extra days annual leave per year from three years of employment – so 3 years, one more day, 4 years another,5 years another, and so on.

This is a full-time, permanent role. The hours of work will be 37.5 hour working week on your basic salary, but the average working week will be around 50 hours. Saturday time and a half and Sundays are double time.

The ideal candidate:

• Ideally highly experienced Plumbing and Heating Engineer with 5 years + of plumbing experience minimum.
• Full Driving License
• NVQ2 Plumbing or equivalent
• Active Skill Card / CSCS Card
• Experience in domestic heating installations, including boiler replacement, system upgrades, radiator valve replacement and heating controls.
• Site based installations experience
