Sister/Charge Nurse Clinical Trials Day Care Unit

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive and negotiable (depending on experience)

Do you want to be part of a dedicated team focusing on fast study set ups to provide rapid access to new investigative therapies?

The Role:

As the Sister/Charge nurse you will act as an exemplar role model responsible for supporting, leading and managing the experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to cancer patients on clinical trials. Ensuring high levels of customer service alongside the multi-disciplinary colleagues.

Skills & Experience and attributes required for this role.

  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC.
  • Significant post registration experience within an oncology setting or equivalent.
  • Clinical Trials experience desired but not essential Intravenous chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration experience essential.
  • Knowledge of outpatient/day care delivery and the challenges this presents.
  • Mentorship and Preceptorship experience, as a positive supporter and motivator of learners and junior staff.
  • Experience of management and leadership of a clinical team.
  • Motivated and forward-thinking individual with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
