Showroom HostJob Summary

As a Showroom Host, you will be the welcoming face of our clients establishment, ensuring that visitors and customers have a positive experience. Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail will contribute to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  1. Greeting and Welcoming Visitors:

    • Welcome customers, clients, and guests as they enter the showroom.
    • Provide a friendly and professional first impression.
    • Direct visitors to the appropriate areas within the showroom.
  2. Customer Assistance:

    • Assist customers with inquiries, directing them to the relevant sales representatives or departments.
    • Answer basic questions about products, services, and promotions.
    • Ensure customers feel comfortable and valued during their visit.
  3. Appointment Scheduling:

    • Manage the showroom diary, scheduling appointments for sales consultations.
    • Coordinate with sales staff to ensure adequate coverage during busy hours.
    • Handle any changes or cancellations promptly.
  4. Maintaining Showroom Appearance:

    • Keep the showroom tidy and organized.
    • Monitor stock levels of stationery and promotional materials.
    • Arrange visual props and displays to enhance the showroom’s appeal.
  5. Health and Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Regularly check and report any maintenance or safety issues.
    • Collaborate with cleaning staff to maintain cleanliness.
  6. Holiday Cover and Special Events:

    • Provide cover during public holidays and ad hoc holiday periods.
    • Assist with showroom events, promotions, and product launches.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and manage appointments effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is advantageous.
Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: £11.44 per hour
  • Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours
  • Weekends:
    • Saturday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
    • Sunday: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Additional coverage during public holidays and as needed.
