This growing litigation team in London are recruiting for a talented Associate to join and support in the continued growth and development of the practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain a broad and varied caseload, working with notable clients. You will receive bespoke training throughout your career and the firm will ensure that you have the technical and commercial skills to build an effective and successful practice and become a sector specialist.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of shipping litigation matters, including charterparty disputes, cargo claims, salvage disputes, and marine insurance matters
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide sound legal advice to clients
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive legal solutions to our clients
  • Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments relevant to shipping litigation

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in shipping litigation
  • Strong knowledge of maritime law and shipping industry practices
  • Demonstrated experience in handling complex shipping disputes
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional client service
