Shipping Customer Service Executive
Our client a respected and family owned Shipping Line is seeking an experienced Shipping Customer Service Executive for their HQ in Central London. This position will cover all types of Cargo Containers/Project/RoRo and ideal for a candidate who has industry knowledge of Shipping Imports/Exports and an Operational background. The main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Dealing directly with clients Worldwide but mainly in Europe.
- Answering queries, questions on services
- Quoting/following up on quotations direct to clients.
- Checking Vessel and Space availability.
- Taking Bookings on the Network System.
- Develop and maintain good contacts with colleagues, Planners, Cargo Handling Managers etc.
The successful candidate will have outstanding Customer Service experience within the Shipping industry and have a high standard of written and spoken English. Must have an understanding of different types of Cargo. Strong IT skills, including, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You will have the ability and willingness to learn new practices and procedures and be able to work within a team environment but also be able to show individual initiative.
