This role is a temporary Shipping Administrator position in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry, located in Newport. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Shipping & Logistics teams.

Description

The role involves the preparation of shipping documentation, booking freight forwarders and couriers based in our Newport Distribution Warehouse working alongside the warehouse team, OEM & International Sales Support Team. The role is highly process driven and fast paced, requiring the candidate to be a good team player, efficient, motivated in exceeding customer expectations and a passionate learner.

Duties and responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Raising and issuing shipping Documentation, Packing Lists CMR's, courier labels & Commercial Invoices
  • Booking Freight Forwarders via email, online & Telephone
  • Recording each shipment references, packages, weights, dimensions and tracking Numbers for reference & POE.
  • Liaising with the warehouse team / sales support teams on priorities and issues.
  • Dedicated shipments - Ensure special packaging and documentation packs are adhered too.
  • Following up on shipments not collected within 48 hours
  • Tracking Shipments daily acting on issues should they arise. Recorded POD Yes / No for EOM Revenue.
  • Proof of Export - obtain correct documentation as evidence of export closing within 90 days as per HMRC requirements.
  • Downloading freight forwarder reports for review and reconciling Freight Re-charge
  • Filing all documents within the system as evidence for audit purposes
  • Post Goods Issue
  • Attach collection notes to "99" documents in SAP for audit purposes.
  • Attach Export Entry Documents to "99" documents in SAP for audit purposes.

A successful Shipping Administrator should have:

  • Excellent coordinating skills / ability to multi-task
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Numerate/analytical experience
  • Experience and knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but not essential
  • Flexibility for additional hours as and when required.
  • Experience using SAP would be beneficial but not essential.
