SHIFT SUPERVISOR - 4 DAY WORKING WEEK (MONDAY TO THURSDAY)

JS Recruitment is excited to collaborate with an exceptional manufacturing client in their search for a Shift Supervisor to join their expanding team at their impressive facility near Pontefract.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture conducive to personal and professional growth, enabling individuals to excel in achieving their business and personal development goals. With a hands-on approach, you will drive a culture of continuous improvement, supporting operational functions to attain objectives centred around achieving world-class performance.

WHAT YOU'LL GET A SHIFT SUPERVISOR:

  • Starting salary of £32,000
  • 4 day working week - Double Days: Monday to Thursday 5am - 3pm and 2pm - 12am
  • Employer pension contribution up to 12%

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A SHIFT SUPERVISOR:

  • Supervise the real-time production output of the unit, employing escalation and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Address and overcome both immediate and prolonged constraints on workflow.
  • Foster and cultivate a safety-centric environment, ensuring adherence to safe working practices, policies, and protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to the latest quality, safety, and legislative standards, advocating for a right-first-time approach
  • Cultivate a work environment and ethos that enables the workforce to meet business demands.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the department, making short-term tactical decisions.
  • Champion and instill a lean manufacturing ethos across the facilities.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to advance the department's long-term strategic objectives.



AS A SHIFT SUPERVISOR YOU WILL NEED:

  • Experience working within a fast paced production / manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge of operations, packing lines would be ideal
  • Good communication and relationship building skills
  • Awareness of continuous improvement concepts
  • Training and coaching skills
  • IT Literacy
