Working Hours:

  • Shifts - 4 shift system
    • 6am-2pm Monday to Friday,
    • 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday,
    • 10pm-6am Sunday to Thursday,
    • 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday
    • (Office based during 4th rotation)

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Completion of Process audits against the company standards & procedures to include: audit mixing processes and moisture & water activity tests and colour measurements on finished product in line with product specification; audit coding checks on flow-wrap film, cartons and outer case labels in line with product specification including barcode verification, audit routine verification and fail-safe checks on in-line metal detectors and verification checks on in-line checkweighers.
  • Audit tests on finished product against QAS documents.
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately, in full and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct rapid swabs on the production line & equipment as part of the line clearance procedures.
  • Collect all samples required for microbiological testing, Taste Panels and Retained samples.
  • Log samples for testing on the Synlab Registration system ready for 8am collection.
  • Deal with Non-Conforming product to prevent its release in accordance with procedure.
  • Conduct daily temperature checks on fridges.
  • Conduct monthly verifications of temperature probes.
  • Carry out environmental swabbing and water testing as required.
  • Ensure handover procedure is followed with incoming/outgoing QA operatives by being at the QA Station 10 minutes prior to start of shift.
  • Maintain the set hygiene standards and ensure clean as you go procedure is followed at all times.
  • Follow traceability procedures - ensure all Raw Materials, Packaging, Work in Progress and Finished product are identified/labelled at all times.
  • Follow allergen controls and all other company procedures accurately.
  • Follow manual handling guidelines and safe systems of work at all times.
  • Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
  • Completion of Paperwork/Red Pen audits.

About You;

  • HACCP/BRC experience is desirable.
  • FMCG/Food/Food packaging background would be ideal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience is essential.
  • Supervisor/Team leading experience is desirable.
  • Flexible to cover various shift patterns for other in the department when required.
