Responsibilities

Reporting into the Production Manager you will be responsible for is responsible for leading a team of high performing Department Managers, driving successful outcomes for the business. You will oversee the management of all Production departments within your shift, directing activities to ensure that all products are manufactured on schedule and within the agreed quality standards and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities;

In collaboration with the General Manager and other Shift Managers on site, develop and implement strategies to ensure the site delivers its KPI targets.

Provide clear visible leadership to the Operations team on your shift. Working with the Department Managers to drive performance on a daily and weekly basis.

Responsible for driving the culture that promotes a safe and quality driven workplace.

Plays an active role in the delivery of the continuous improvement programme for the site. Continuously identify ways to reduce cost and improve standards, ensuring full stakeholder engagement throughout.

Responsible for ensuring an ethnically compliant operation this is truly a 'brilliant place to work'

Clear accountability for delivery of all KPI's for your shift working with the Site Leadership team.


You will be resilient under pressure being able to prioritise multiple tasks to fulfil your duties as a site manager. Being a natural leader, you will play a key role in developing and building your team to be able to perform at optimum capacity to safely deliver on NWF quality standards and customer order fulfilment.

Skills & Experience:


Proven experience to manage teams within an FMCG based environment

Produce experience


IOSH Managing Safety certification

Food Safety level 3 or equivalent


MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Intermediate)

Planning and time management skills

Shift pattern;
We operate a rotational shift pattern covering 7 to 7 covering days and nights. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically you would be working as follows:

Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 2 - Wednesday & Thursday

We offer an additional £,1000 pa shift allowance for working days and nights.
