Shift Manager (Days) - FMCG - South Wales - Up to £35,000

About the company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Shift Manager to oversee high high-performing factory in South Wales.

You will report into the Production Manager and will be responsible for all operations management throughout the shift, coordinating HR issues, plant break-down work as well as supporting and coaching team members to achieve operational excellence.

  • Sunday 6am - 6pm
  • Monday 6am - 6.30pm
  • Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - 3pm - 11pm

Shift Manager - Requirements

  • Must have experience of managing within fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality processes and systems
  • Maintaining production and quality standards laid down by the business, whilst ensuring that they are fully trained on Lean Manufacturing Practice and Continuous Improvement Processes
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with sound planning and organisational abilities
  • Have an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate and IOSH Working Safely or equivalent certificates

Shift Manager - Responsibilities

  • Responsible for audit compliance
  • Development of people and processes.
  • Production Area Performance - KPI’s.
  • Ensure the production plan is completed as per the weekly manufacturing plan
  • All reactive and planned maintenance is to be completed to the standards required and signed back to production where required
  • All site audits are to be completed with deviations to standard reported; to include quality, hygiene, process control and H&S
  • Engineering breakdowns must be supervised to ensure the plant is available for the next shift
  • Provide first point of contact for technical, engineering, production and supply chain teams throughout the shift
  • Documented process deviations and errors are to be accurately investigated leading to proposals for corrective actions to eliminate re-occurrence
  • Review and verify as accurate, all site documentation including HACCP, Food safety, performance, process error and finance incident reports at the end of each shift
  • Ensure all production equipment are hygienically clean and ready for each shift
