Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading PLC business who are looking for a Shift Maintenance Manager to join their facility near Mansfield. 

Salary: £ 57,500 + bonus

 Shifts: 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days/nights)

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Shift Maintenance Manager will provide management and leadership to a team Leading a team of 14 – 2 Senior Maintenance Engineers, 7 Maintenance Engineers and 5 Technical Operators.

This role would suit a Shift Maintenance Manager who can provide coaching and mentoring to the team alongside engaging in hands-on maintenance activities. 

 Duties of the Shift Maintenance Manager will include:

  • Managing and coordinating the activities of  the shift team
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring  shift team
  • Carrying out maintenance and servicing of all onsite automated equipment
  • Carrying out planned repairs and reactive repairs of automated material handling equipment 
  • Fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and/or electrical faults
  • Responding to automation faults and breakdowns promptly
  • Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages
  • Leading the shift handover meeting and supporting other site meetings 

We would like to speak with Shift Maintenance Managers with the following:

  • Experience in a leadership position in Automation
  • Relevant Engineering qualification
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong communication skills, able to build relationships with technical and non-technical staff
