Position: Sheet Metal Worker

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
Location: Jarrow 
Salary: Subject to Experience, £13 to £14 per hour

Job Description: As a Sheet Metal Worker with us, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling sheet metal products. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, using various hand and power tools to cut, bend, and shape metal, and ensuring that finished products meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Cutting, shaping, and forming metal sheets using tools such as shears, press brakes, and rollers.
  • Welding and soldering components as necessary.
  • Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role.
  • Proficiency in using sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Good physical condition and stamina.
  • Health and safety conscious.
