Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker how has worked within a highly regulated industry? Our client, a world leading aerospace manufacturer would be interested in your background!

Location: Derby
Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Day Shift - 07.00 to 16.00 or 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 07.00 to 12.00 on Fridays

Sheet Metal Worker - Key responsibilities
  • Manufacture sheet metal components in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Efficiently undertake sheet metalwork manufacturing operations in line with instructions and drawings provided
  • Working with a variety of Aerospace materials such as Titanium Stainless steel and Nickel alloys. Most of their sheet metal is between 0.5mm-3.2mm thick
  • Support the development of efficient methods of manufacture and tooling for new and existing work

Sheet Metal Worker - Key Skills
  • Experience working within a high-precision or highly regulated industry, working to tight tolerances.
  • Skilled in the use of general sheet metal machinery, measuring equipment and hand tools
  • Practical experience and knowledge of working with sheet metal (riveting, spot welding, bonding, brazing, power press, press brake, countersinking for example) – they need to have experience carrying at least a few of these processes, but no specific ones are essential. Will need to be titanium, aluminium, or stainless steel, not mild steel.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings to the level required for machine set up and operation
