RattrayParkin are partnered with a global technology business seeking to appoint a Service Technician to join them on an initial 3-6 month contract with possibility of a permanent role afterwards.

The role will be site based in South Nottinghamshire.

Job Description:

  • Work from service check lists, procedures, instructions, customer and unit records, computer programs and similar documentations.
  • Perform incoming inspection on all service products. Verify accuracy, confirm reported problems, and route product to the correct team.
  • Disassemble units and examine components, testing for proper operation.
  • Diagnose and isolate potential hardware and software problems and modify per documented requirements to resolve problems.
  • Identify and recognize nonconforming parts and request guidance as to when minor modification will allow utilization.
  • Test repaired or modified units, reassemble to suit specifications and issue repaired units for shipping.
  • Document repairs and annotate in customer and product files as required.
  • Perform product compensation and calibration protocols as needed.

Qualification:

  • College education in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Lifting of average weight materials, up to 60 lbs
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
