Domus Recruitment are working with a leading charity based in Warwickshire, who is actively seeking a new Service Manager, to oversee two small residential services, that supports adults with Learning Disabilities. 

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of Learning Disabilities and CQC guidelines.

Role overview:

  • Supervise, mentor, and act as a positive leader to Team Leaders and Support Workers to ensure effective and efficient person-centred service delivery to all people who use the service.
  • To understand the service specification including expectations on support to be delivered
  • Be passionate about upholding the rights of the people we support & embed PBS fundamentals across the services. Trauma informed support is key.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with health, safety and security regulations and requirements. Undertake regular audits and risk assessments in line with safe practices in the workplace.
  • Required to travel around a geographical area of Supported Living settings within the Region. Must be able to stay away from home overnight for reasons such as on-calls, supported persons holidays (only by absolute exception and with prior agreement of line manager, management meetings, emergency cover for shifts, and training.
  • The SM will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the operational day to day leadership and management of their services which includes compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements and internal standards (Housing/Quality/Compliance) and to the Local Authority contractual standard.

Service Manager Requirements:

  • Professional Qualification - NVQ 3/ NVQ 5 (Or willing to complete)
  • Relevant experience in a management role, preferably within the Health and Social Care sector or with transferrable skills and experience
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external colleagues.
