Are you an experienced Service Engineer looking to your next step in fire and security?

Starting Point Recruitment is thrilled to present a permanent position for our esteemed client based within the London area.

Position:
Permanent
Salary:< £40k (Dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Full time

Job Purpose: The Service Engineer is responsible for assisting colleagues with technical issues, conducting monthly engineer audits, carrying out minor remedial works during PPM visits, and providing technical support and mentorship to colleagues.

Skills:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for report preparation and service call-out documentation.
  • Capacity to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and external parties.
  • Initiative and attention to detail in the life safety industry.
  • Organisational and time management skills.

Specific Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in the fire industry, including installing, testing, commissioning, and servicing Fire Alarm Systems and/or Security Systems.
  • Excellent servicing, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as software programming on main line products.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience with a variety of technical equipment, including software configuration and programming.
